The smarty programmable controller is available in several versions with pre- configured generic packages for different types of winder configurations. The most common versions are:
- smarty model dw210-1101 Open Loop Constant Tension Center Winder
- smarty model dw210-1102 Closed Loop Dancer Controlled Center Winder
- smarty model dw210-1103 Closed Loop Load Cell Controlled Center Winder
These generic configurations can easily be edited by the intuitive graphical tools to suit the particular application.
The basic packages include 16 flexible analog/logic i/o in a small DIN rail mounting unit with features such as:
- Web break sensing
- Inertia compensation
- Static and dynamic friction compensation
- Diameter calculation, preset and hold
- Taper tension calculation
- Multiple core presets
- Integral reset
- Adaptive control for high speed systems
Options include multiple cores, over/under winding, auto-splicing, encoder inputs, ModbusTCP/IP over Ethernet, serial communications and more.
These smarty specials are very easy to interface to most line and winder drives and operator stations.
